Fellow
Fellow members shall be a physician associate who is a graduate of a physician assistant/associate program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission (ARC-PA), or by one of its predecessor agencies, or who has passed the Physician Assistant/Associate National Certifying Examination (PANCE) administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or an examination administered by another agency approved by the AAPA House of Delegates. To maintain their fellow membership status, members must practice dermatology full or part time under the supervision of a physician, board certified/board eligible in dermatology. Fellow members may vote for FSDPA officers and directors, introduce and vote on FSDPA business and shall be eligible to hold office in the FSDPA. Only those licensed in the state of Florida may hold office.
Associate
Associate members status is conferred to those allied health care practitioners who have a strong interest or practice emphasis in dermatology and/or aesthetics but who are not physician assistants, or physician assistants whose supervising physician is not board certified/board eligible in dermatology. Associate members shall have the privilege of the floor to address the FSDPA Board of Directors, but shall not be entitled to vote or hold office. Associate members may be appointed to committee or liaison positions of the FSDPA.
Student
A student member is an individual who is currently enrolled in a PA or APRN program that is accredited/pending accreditation. Student members shall not be eligible to vote or hold office in the FSDPA. Student members cannot be appointed to a committee chair or liaison position of the FSDPA.
A student member is an individual who is enrolled or recently graudated from a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) or Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP), or successor agency approved PA or APRN program, or an unapproved program recognized by the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAP A). Student members shall not be eligible to vote or hold office in the FSDPA. Â
Physician
Physician members shall consist of licensed physicians who desire to associate with the FSDPA in a professional or social capacity. Physician members shall be entitled to the privileges of the floor to address the FSDPA Board of Directors, but shall not be entitled to vote or hold office.
Affiliate
Affiliate members shall consist of representatives of businesses engaged in selling products or services to FSDPA members, or individuals employed by government agencies who do not qualify for any other membership category. Affiliate members are not entitled to vote, hold office, or any of the privileges of the floor.
