FSDPA Mentorship Program
As an organization committed to furthering education, FSDPA wishes to provide current dermatology interested students with the opportunity to connect with licensed and experienced dermatology providers in order to facilitate exceptional educational experiences. Mentorship is an excellent way for Dermatology PAs, NPs and Dermatologists to “Pay It Forward” and provide support and guidance to the dermatology providers of tomorrow.

- Disclaimer: Any and all of the connections made between students and potential mentors is the sole responsibility of the involved parties. Any person interested in mentorship must vet said mentor for their experience, specialty, quality, and practice location of said mentor. This site is only regarded as a way to offer the potential for connections of students and mentors, and the FSDPA bears no responsibility for any positive or negative outcomes, nor can they guarantee mentorship.
- Students: Students are advised to vet any potential mentor for your dermatology rotation. When connecting with a mentor, it is the student’s and/or schools’ responsibility to confirm the expectations of the rotation to include, but not limited to those in medical dermatology, surgical dermatology or cosmetic dermatology.
Students are requested to have a specific dermatology interest to facilitate best
practice/interest from both parties of student and mentor.
This is intended to be a volunteer program. Any payments for the service of mentoring a student would be negotiated solely between the school program and mentor or mentoring organization. FSDPA is not responsible for any exchange of monetary funds for service. Submission into the mentorship program does not guarantee placement, or quality of placement. Please note: all Advanced Practitioners must have at least 5 years of full time dermatology experience; all physicians must be board certified in dermatology and have completed their residency and fellowship (if applicable).
A directory of mentors will be made available to Florida PA schools and FSDPA student members by request. Requests can be made via email to [email protected]
