2023 Scholarship Now Open! Deadline To Submit Is March 17th, 2023!

Are you a PA student interested in dermatology?
Would you like a chance at a $5,000 scholarship for you, $5,000 donation to a
non-profit of your choice, free registration & hotel stay to this year’s annual New
Wave Dermatology Conference, May 18, 2023 – May 21, 2023? If so, you’ll want
to join the Florida Society of Dermatology PAs (FSDPA) and
apply for our 7th annual scholarship!

Submissions are due by FRIDAY, MARCH 17th, 2023.
Winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship, $5,000 towards their non-profit of
choice, free registration for the 2023 New Wave Dermatology Conference in St.
Petersburg, Florida this May, and one night hotel stay during the conference.

Congratulations to the 2022 winner, Gabrielle Martini, from Florida State University’s PA Program!
Every year, we open up our FSDPA Community Outreach Scholarship to all Florida PA students, asking for a recommendation for a dermatology related charitable organization worthy of our donation. We’ve had some
amazing recommendations in the past, and this year was no different!
Gabrielle’s charitable organization recommendation was to A Children’s House for the Soul, a non-profit organization which works to empower, encourage, and unite all children and families impacted by skin conditions and birthmarks. This very special organization’s mission is to raise awareness through community education initiatives and provide social,
emotional and spiritual support to these children, thereby working to make the world a more understanding, accepting and loving place.
Gabrielle has received a $5,000 award and the FSDPA has donated a $5,000 contribution to this very deserving charity. Congratulations again and best of luck to Gabrielle!

Congratulations to the 2021 winner, Savannah Ulmer, from Florida Gulf Coast University’s PA Program!
Every year, we open up our FSDPA community outreach scholarship to all Florida PA students, and ask the students for a recommendation for a dermatology related charitable organization worthy of our donation.
Savannah’s charitable organization recommendation was to Dermatology Medical Missions, a non profit volunteer organization based in Delray Beach, Florida, that provides dermatology related healthcare services to underserved patients nationwide and abroad.
Savannah will be receiving a $5,000 award and the FSDPA will be donating a $5,000 contribution to this very deserving charity. We also hope to partner with Dermatology Medical Missions in the future for hands on volunteer opportunities.
This year, we did something unprecedented since we had so many great applications. We awarded an $1,000 honorable mention to Sarah Raymond, a second year PA student at the University of South Florida. Sarah had also recommended Dermatology Medical Missions as her charitable organization.
